Our Story
The Mayport Cruisers were founded in 2018 as part of the expansion of the Jacksonville MABL into Northeast Florida. Named after the historic naval community of Mayport, the team quickly became a beloved fixture in the local sports landscape.
In our inaugural 2018 season, the Cruisers finished with a respectable 38-32 record, giving the community its first taste of professional-caliber baseball in the region. The following years brought growth both on and off the field, as the organization invested in player development and community outreach programs.
The 2022 season marked a turning point as the Cruisers captured their first Atlantic Division title behind a dominant pitching staff and a power-hitting lineup. That team went on to win the Jacksonville MABL Championship, cementing the Cruisers' place in regional baseball history.
Today, under the guidance of Manager Bobby Hartwell and a talented roster, the Cruisers continue to set the standard for excellence in the Jacksonville MABL. In 2026, the team leads the Atlantic Division with a 12-5 record, looking to bring another championship trophy back to Mayport.

Bobby Hartwell
Manager
In his 4th season as Cruisers manager, Bobby has built a winning culture emphasizing pitching and defense. Former minor league catcher with 12 years coaching experience.
Lisa Chen
General Manager
Lisa has been the architect of the Cruisers roster since 2020. Her keen eye for talent and commitment to player development has transformed the organization.
Ron Davis
Pitching Coach
Ron joined the Cruisers in 2021 and has overseen one of the premier pitching staffs in the Jacksonville MABL. Former major league reliever for 6 seasons.
Mike Sandoval
Hitting Coach
Mike is entering his third season with the Cruisers. His advanced analytics approach to hitting has elevated the offensive production of every hitter on the roster.
